Yea, it randomly happens to me too. Usually when I start a thread.
This has happened in the past, you sometimes cannot “unfollow” a thread, and/or you start following a thread when you did not ask.
In the past BM needed to reset an account, I remember sometimes it took several tries.

If I remember correctly the problem did indeed come and go, and BM thought he fixed it for one individual, no problems for a few days, and then they re-appeared…
Does anything show up in your CP for subscribed threads?
