We have a Samoyed. When the weather turns foul it’s impossible to keep her inside. This morning it was +10 on the thermometer and wind howling at 15-20. I put her out before breakfast. Usually she will bark to come in and eat as soon as she’s done with her business. This morning I had to drag her in after breakfast so she wouldn’t freeze solid
My cousins had a samoyed, stayed outside all winter. He would sleep outside his doghouse even in the worst snow. I remember calling for him and seeing a big white lump just pop up outta the snow! In the summer he would spend most of his time in the cool basement. My Husky too, would like to spend his time out in the snow. When i put in the doggie door, he would go out all the time. My wife put the cover on the door because she said it was too cold for him, the dog tore the cover off went outside and curled up in the snow…
