my project is far from finished. but waiting for some glue to dry, i thought i could start to present it: it is a MOC (maintenance of crew) car for my Lost Gulf Branch line. it is a typical 3rd world construcktion. wooden frame with hardwood aixle bearings with a mainly wooden structure upon it. mainly it is a tank with an outhouse upon it. history: when the first mile of track was inaugurated, the chairman’s wife stepped into something brown and smelly. for the sake of marital pleasures, the chairman agreed to build a mobile outhouse for the tracklaying crew. the line beeing built on a shoestring budget, he orderd his workshop foreman to throw something together, that looks fit for the job and costs as little as possible. the other foremen were told in sotto voice to tell their men, to look for bushes farther away from the tracks. — as i am more or less into 1:29, my beloved coffee stirrers are too thick for boards. so i do use them for thicker planks. or cut them to 2" by 4"s. for boards i use thick veneer. the parts used: weels from a “bump ‘n’ run” toy-loco some sticks from the local carpenters leftovers some coffee stirrers and veneer pc-cooling ribs for couplers fishinghooks for pins plastic chain links filed iron nails for squarebolts an old LAN T-connection, a washer, apiece of copperwire and half a pressbutton for the outlet valve two antenna connectors and a shoestring for the hose a toothpaste-tube for sheetmetal and tankgirders for glue i use the omni glue from UHU and some two component epoxy in another forum i got accused of “twigs and sticks” modelling. but that is pure rubbish. there is not even one twig used for this modell… well, i got still about 24 hours left and the glue should be dry by now…
LOVE it, lol
AS always Korm great to hear about things you are accomplishing with whatever you build from!! It doesn’t matter what others think as long as you are pleased with the end results, as we have discussed before right??? Checkbook modelers are out there a plenty, and is refreshing to see someone who goes au natural!! Regal
Heat story guy… Love these kind of story behind building a needed rolling stock… Looking good… Keep posting updates…Noel & Kitty

PS. Yup Jerry … laf. just got home…
Hey, you followin me around??? hah LOL Regal
Very nice. I love the use of the BNC “T” - What a difference the paint and the valve makes. I have a bunch of those here at work, but the boss still thinks we might need them someday - like after WW-3 when we are building coax networks again
i looked in my squirrel boxes for one of those "T"s of plastic, like the trucks had years ago in the windshield-washer system.
when this cable-T caught my eye.
it was easy to build.
i just ripped off the connector and the innards and glued the new parts with epoxy.
Very creative use of materials!!
Nice work!

things begin to fall together.
So, the valve and the 24 inch pipe are used to “evacuate” the goo? Good Lord, if’n ya get too close to that thing when the valve is open, you can loose ideas in the suction! Good job!
this will be a long night… every time i have to wait for glue to dry, i get myself glued to the tv. first Cage and Jolie stealing cars, now Rourke as bountyhunter… but i got lots of coffee and a well organized workplace. roof crimped, walls glued. now comes the fitting of the outhouse proper.
nice to know I’m not the only person left that smokes.
Build is looking good.
Looking good Korm.

open air loo???
but that is exactly, what the chairman’s wife dislikes!
well, the modell is far from what i would like it to be. i worked too sloppy. due to want of materials and better tools for better details - the modell is finished.
Looks great Korm, good use of what you do have!! Regal
Agree looks great and different. Love the small rolling stock like that
Interesting project. That is certainly a large diameter hose!
