What I have to start with. Almost forgot the photos. Now it’s up to the barn to cut some strip woood and get a move on.
By the way Ralph I changed my mind on what I’m going to build.

A little duck tape and she will look just like new.
This combine lost a corner of it’s roof and a little siding during the last hurricane that brought a tree down on it. Having recently purchased this car from the Santa Fe ole M.T. Pockets didn’t want to waste money and he asked the car shop if they could do something about the damage. What follows is the tool car they came up with making M.T. very happy. Had to build new doors

Undercarriage had to be modified to change trucks

A few windows were closed over

A little paint and we have tool car for the road.

Womens work!
The skill I’m seeing is waaaaay ahead of mine! I can just say “I’m a work in progress!”
What did you use for roof vent covers? I need to replace the ones on my Hartland railbus and haven’t found anything.
Looks good. I think Roosters a little jealous. He wishes he could be a man.
Doug, No roof vent covers. The celestory glass was painted to blank out the windows. To blank out roof vents just cut thin plastic sheet to fit
Well blame Andy, Shawn, he raised Rooster.

Can you imagine trying to run a switching layout with these two arguing in the background all the time? People just looked at them and walked away.
Great looking coach, Dave!
