Somebody once said a garden railroad is never “finished”, they are always a work in progress. Now you gotta understand, I wasn’t really intending to do any major revisions this spring… but it turned out I was WRONG! First came a new sawmill, 5 new trees, and marble chips…

Then I decided to add coke ovens to the mine. At the moment they look like block with a piece of 32mm track on top. I’d like to make cast fronts and charging chutes. We’ll see…

While looking for the boiler for the Westinghouse project, I found a LH LGB r-1 turnout that I’d forgotten I had. And Kim decided she wanted more space for her herbs. Sooooooooo, whatever day it quits raining I get to dig out some sod. How long it will be and what it will serve has yet to be determined. The patio block edging between the layout and the path she’s having me build (we’ll set red stepping stones yet) is going to be a road. So I need to scrounge even MORE buildings and a few cars… Wheeeee!
