Large Scale Central

Centerbeam Flatcar Build

Yea, what Animal said…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Wholly Moses! That is incredible. In 3 out of the 4 pictures there is no way to tell it isn’t real. It’s not the car in the 4th that gives it away either. Well done, well done indeed! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

All we can say is that great modeling Very nice work.

Damn! Makes me look like a rank amateur.

Good job Mike. Sometimes the only way to get a modern freight car or one you want on the layout is to build it. I wanted a 100 ton mill gon and a pulpwood car on the layout so I got several plans and built them like you did. took a while to figure out how to make parts but it was fun after everything was complete. What did you use for side steps on the ends?

Ron , the end steps were made from some scrap aluminum that I cut with tin snips and ground them down on my Delta sander to a thin ,flat strip. Next time I might see if there is some strip brass available at the hobby shop.

Mike. The original finished images show what a wonderful job you did, but the weathered images are just awesome. The low angle, warm lighting makes it even more realistic…

Fabulous work…

Stan is there a weathered filter for camera’s?

Just to reallllllllllllllllll!

It could be better…but I don’t see how!
