Cedar Shingles

Guys,
What is the best stuff for fastening individual cedar shakes to a model building’s roof.
I mean the best and most durable.

I don’t know about most durable but I’ve been using Titebond II on mine. The label bills it as 'Waterproof".

I used Silicone. Seems to be holding up very well.

good article in the past GR about buildings and roofs!

I used Phenoseal vinyl adhesive caulk for the cedar shingles for my little log cabin. Its been outside year round for 2 1/2 years now and still looks great. The Phenoseal is an exterior grade PVA adhesive (think thick Elmers white glue) and cleans up with water. The translucent type dries almost clear. It comes caulk and smaller squeeze tubes.
