You inspired me to look up locomotive dash cams, and here’s an interesting compilation.

I have a cell phone mount in my car now and use my cell phone as a dash cam just in case I catch something like this. You never know what you will catch that makes for interesting video.

I have considered what may happen in case of a derailment while railfanning. However I would only hope that you guys would be smart enough to find the camera and “grab the sim card”. Do not try and remove the smile on my face at my viewing because it cannot be done with today’s jackhammers!
