Yeah, you have to search for the article, never directly pointed to the particular article, that type of web site does not change the viewed URL as you move around.
That way, later, you are always taken to the current front page.

When I posted, it was a direct link to the article. But when I went back to view it, it had reverted to the front page.
Yep, actually the link is always to the front page when you execute it, and if you go to another page, it stays the same.
So the link never took anyone else to the article directly, and as soon as your local cookie changed, did the same to you.
As I said this is typical, and you have to watch out for it especially on electronic newspapers.
