OK, I’m back casting again. I just made a new mold for the toilet hoppers, waiting for it to solidify so I can cast up a bunch for an order. Then its making new figure molds. Those are a bit more of a PITA because of the shape.

A toilet hopper is an unfortunate one with the green apple quick step.

What are you using for your casting forms and material? I have been working on some prototype pieces for the RS-11 build that I’m doing and I need to start casting and making parts.

To make the mold boxes I’m using odd pieces of Sintra (pvc board). It glues up fast, easy to carve, shape, cut, etc, and easy to cut and pull apart once I’m done.

I thought it was like a wood chip hopper, but it hauled cow chips or (fill in your favorite here _________) instead. Actually there is a train that comes through Roanoke, VA that hauls treated sewage from NY or NJ. Probably the only time I have seen an entire group of railfans step AWAY from the track at once!
