Cass Scenic RR

I was going to mention something about this being for “Narrow Minded” folks, but then I realized that Cass Scenic is standard gauge. Either way, it is a fascinating photo.

This could be 1940, except for the red pickup in the background. Perhaps that could be photoshopped out…

That would be an easy Photoshop job, even for a beginner like me  But you also need to get rid of the mercury street lamp and the plastic tarp. The trainman’s jeans are a little snug in the caboose for 1940 too

I just made my campground reservations for a trip to Cass during the last week of July. 4 nights in WV (camping in Elkins), 3 nights in Gettysburg and 1 or 2 nights on the road. We’ve never been there and I can’t wait.

It’s a great trip. We had lousy weather but a good time.

Jon,… Jon, aren’t you picking just a few nits too many? Do you count rivets in your spare time?

Yes, but I lost count at 4,343,426,659,341 and had to start over :frowning:

Course…Cass being a operating RR…its prototypical all the time! Anyone wanna head up there the weekend of the 31st?

Yep. Whistles, Wings, and Wildflowers! Should be a great trip. Bring your rain jacket.

Yep…on the list…Gotta get something to tote lunch in on Saturday too…

Well, Bart, I have a graduation party to attend on Sat or I’d definitly join you…Have fun!
