I glanced though it the day it arrived … put it down on the coffee table and went out to my shop. When I came back in the dog was done with it already. Pissed me off!

The real story is there wasn’t a singe advertisement for a piece of amtrak equiptment in the magazine and rooster went nuts, and is now blaming it on the poor innocent dog

I totally derailed this thread…Sorry …Congrats Todd…Btw it’s a she and she is 2 1/2. For a dog I didn’t want anyway I sure do love her and probably the best dog I have ever had(4th one in 40 yrs).

What I found amazing was the SCHNABEL how to. I saw one at the Amherst show and was so awestruck I forgot to get a photo. I didn’t even know there was a prototype for it and looked them up on youtube. Incredible engineering. I’d like to build one but it would never fit around my RR. It is quite a coincidence that a how to would land in the next GR mag.

Here is a photo of the open air car in action this Winter. The tourist train was put together quickly that day and though the pot belly stove was nice and hot no one ventured into that car.
