Just read in the National Moowspaper (The Gob and Snail) that CP is taking drastic steps to conform with the Conservative “Green Plan”.
Starting today they will remove tracks from Halifax to Vancouver. The roadbed/ballast will be left in place with a good dose of Crusher Fines as a topping. Harking back to the “Good Ole Days” they will hire rickshaw drivers who will take over the transportation function.
The President of CP, Mr. Aime Topleeze, sees this measure as the appropriate two-pronged approach to the “Green Plan”; the Kyoto targets will not only be met, they will be exceeded manifold, the second advantage is the more leisurely pace of life. Mr. Aime Topleeze is a recent convert to the “Slow Food” movement and has come to the insight “If it has to be moved, move it slowly. Haste makes waste!”
