Cynnthia…I’d like very much to meet you at one of those restaurants, but it would be quite a long trip, just for dinner…!! The food sounds great.
I’ll stick with LSC, and avoid Face Book, thank you.

Judging by your avatar I would think you would enjoy Frankie’s…Delivery charges may be a bit high.
We have a wonderful pizza joint, Broadway Pizza that runs G-scale trains around the ceiling. Good pizza too!
I think the Cafe’ Lurcat would be more my style…send pictures…!!..I’ll have a Samuel Smith Nut Brown Ale, as a starter. The view of the park should be rather Spring like, just about now…If the Oysters are VERY fresh; a dozen would be a great treat…on the half shell; Lemon, and Worcestershire sauce, please…no, young lady…it will be on my tab…!!..after all it is your town, and I’m just visiting…!!

Shut up Rooster and yes your getting old. I just moved on to bigger and better things. I go where the most activity is. (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
This hurts my feelings and right after I renewed my permit to carry them concealed!

Thank God they’re concealed; we don’t need to see that.
My biggest “gripe” with Facebook is the “crap, where did I see that?” aspect. I see something cool, but can never seem to find it when I go back to looking for it later. (Yeah, I know you can “save” things, but even that gets tedious after a fashion.) I belong to a fair number of large scale and On30 groups on Facebook, so it’s not always the easiest thing to remember which of those groups I saw what I’m looking for.
That having been said, I created a Facebook page for my On30 railroad so I can easily chronicle its construction. I upload photos and captions to an album on that page, then I can share that album with the various groups who may find it of interest. Folks don’t necessarily have to “like” or “follow” my page specifically, because it’s essentially on-line photo storage with an easy means of distribution. If, however, I ever want to look up a photo to reference either on Facebook or elsewhere (like here), I can quickly go to my page, find the appropriate album, and copy the URL for the photo to post.

before the internet we had to seek and find information.
with the internet and forums we came to the point to have to select out of an abundance of information.
with facebook, twitter, whats-up and similars we will have to learn to memorize, in which haystack bits of information are hidden.
I think it’s pretty awesome that Cynnthia was able to find our forum, and feel comfortable interacting with us. Atta girl Cynnthia!
I also think it’s cool that other forums exist, for additional preference-based depth of interaction. For me, I still enjoy interactions with friends on MLS. For others, Facebook. For yet others, numerous other forums exist.
With all those avenues and shapes and colors of communication, the net result is that we share our seriously multi-faceted hobby with more people, in more ways and means.
