Seen this before and never had any problem reading it. My comprehension sucks though

Works for me! And teachers always complained about my spelling.

Geoff,

Let me put it this way: the longer, the better! And why, you ask? It’s all the practice one gets with the modern media, including “modern spelling” in the mags and newspapers, absolutely hilarious spelling on the Internet - not picking on you, after all you are a “special case”, aren’t you? A really interesting instance was a book I read recently (published in Switzerland) which had a card inserted which mentioned that the particular press run somehow escaped the “proof readers” clutches and there would be a reward for those who would report the various omissions, commissions (and other missions) etc. etc. There was just one small snag with all this, they inserted the card at the end of the book, not at the beginning!  Now that’s where I draw the line, reading a book a second time just to correct their spelling is simply not on! :stuck_out_tongue:  :stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t talk to me about modern English.
The days of our taking pride in our command of the English language, are long gone.

Have you ever tried to understand “predictive text” with a SMS?

You mean the sado-masochism that’s employed when text messaging? Sorry, don’t do that.

I have two handicaps: a) fat thumbs; b) not smart enough.
