Cake Toppers - NT

My daughter Christine is getting married this July. She didn’t want the traditional bride and groom on the wedding cake, so she asked me to make something different for her. She really likes penguins and we found this picture on the web:

I wasn’t sure how it would turn out in 3-D, but I decided to give it a try. I started by making a couple of egg-shapes out of Magic Sculpt. After that hardened, I added the details. The hat brim was made from some .060 styrene. I’m pretty please with how they turned out.

Cute

Neato, Bruce…

That’s pretty cool.
Get ready. You’ll soon have friends and relatives knocking on your door wanting you to do their Cake Toppers

Sounds like a need for a new industry for the railroad. Does anyone have a “Sculpy” factory on their railroad? You would need boxcars and covered hoppers coming in. Probably some tank cars, also. Boxcars going out, unless a constant temperature had to be maintained, then you could use insulated or refrigerated cars. Hmmmm?

Aaawww…will they cry ice cubes on the big day?

Nice work Bruce.

Great job of reproducing the picture. She must be into Linux

We went with lego dudes for our favors

Excellent work! You really captured the look of the original drawing.

…grinning…

Ya dun good, Kid.

Thanks! They looked better on the cake…

Did they? ;)

Bruce;

You missed your chance to have a bi-polar cake topper. You could have made a polar bear figure as the preacher.

Polar bears - North Pole

Penguines - South Pole

Hence - BI-POLAR! (Sorry, couldn’t resist!)

Great figures,
