I was looking at my B-mann caboose, and thought the steps looked real wrong. Yeah I know, I have not finished any of the other projects I’ve got sitting around. Anyway, I’m in the prosess of fixing the steps… below is a photo of the first step I replaced. This caboose will be on the train that the RS-3 will drag.
I useed the steps from a B-mann Bobber caboose as a model to copy. The bottom step is now about 18 inches from the ground. and the steps are 12 inches each, more in line with what a man can work on. The stock step was almost 30 inches from the ground, a bit more then a man can hop.
