My wife found this on Zillow. We own a real estate company and in her off time she likes to look at getaway property in NH and Maine. She said it was only matter of time… but she didn’t say we should buy it.

There is a Nickel Plate Road caboose here in town that has been made into a summer cottage. It was up for sale awhile ago but too much for me.

At least its a Pullman… Good chance, too this caboose is operational. Its parked on rails connected to the Pemi Branch of the B&M.
Lots of (wealthy) folks run private cars behind Amtrak trains. I’m sure a caboose could be properly equipped to be certified, but you never see them. I wonder if it’s due to the ride quality at higher speeds; or is it that if you can afford to pay Amtrak to pull you around you can probably afford a nice car.
I got the opportunity to spend the day riding in a private caboose with Al Pomeroy on the Naugatuck Valley RR a little over a year ago. It was great fun. It would be even more fun to get it out on the main line and go somewhere!
