Any recomendation for cab light “fixture” for mounting in an LGB Mogul?

I have done this many times.

i add the light to the top center of the cab towards the front of the engine and run the wires straight down to the electronics.

Of course you must take the engine comp;etely apart to get to the electronic board hiding behind the firebox.

I have installed Zimo decoders in these and control the cab lght with a function key and program it to be off when engine is moving and on only when stopped.
