Large Scale Central

C.V.S.Ry. Schematic Diagrams - Operations Plan

The Candlewood Valley Scenic Railway consists of two divisions. The Indoor division is railroad West with track running Eastbound to the Outdoor division. Both are relatively small. The indoor division has been developed with a couple of yards and a balloon track that serves as the Main Line. Outdoors has not yet been developed with sidings, so the East leg of the wye has been operationally severed and serves as two industry sidings. The North tail serves as another industry and the East tail serves as a terminus “yard” for where Eastbound turns terminate and Westbound turns originate. The INDOOR Division. EAST - East Escap`e Canyon is the Division Point and the mainline switch for the balloon track which I consider an extension of the mainline. TYRE - Tyrone Yard is the main yard for switching captive cars for on-line industries. This yard is convenient to off-layout storage shelves. MEAD - Meadow Gap Bridge is for now just a point on the main. There will be a siding here someday. WILO - Willow Hill is a passenger stop on the main with a very small shelter. NOOK - Following the Team Track idea, but modernizing a bit this siding is home to the Nook Trans-Load Facility. HONY - Honey Grove is the main passenger station for loading tourist excursions and is on the main line. KIST - Kistler is home to an Engine Service facility and the division’s interchange track. This yard is convenient to off-layout storage shelves. The OUTDOOR Division. Click the image for a larger version…

Mainline WEST - West Escap`e Canyon is the Division Point and the origination point of the outdoor mainline. WALL - Wall Township is a passenger stop on the main with a very small shelter. INDY - Indian Hill is where the Northville Spur branches off the main line. There are two industries on this spur. PINE - Pine Summit is a passenger stop on the main with a very small shelter. The severed wye connection to Northville is here. King Coal Co. is a trailing point industry at PINE DEEP - Deep Cut is the Eastern Terminus of the main line. Northville Spur WALK - Walk Junction on the Northville Spur marks where the severed wye connection from Pine joins the spur. Humco Industries is a trailing point industry at WALK NORT - Northville is the Northern Terminus of the spur Nothville Food Products is facing point industry at Northville Operationally there are two trains, each with an Eastbound and Westbound turn. All trains originate (for now) on the Indoor division. The Mixed carries a combine as the caboose. It runs from the interchange at KIST, with a stop at the TYRE yard and serves all passenger shelters plus the trailing point industries at NOOK, WALK & PINE. The Daily carries a shoves East caboose first originating from the TYRE yard and serves the facing point industries at NOOK & NORT. EDIT: The images are loading very slow tonight. My Hosting service claims there is no problem, but I have been seeing very slow response for weeks.
