It was cool and wet today so I went back to work on the bench. Sometime during the week I lifted all the track from the last area of just plywood and the new roll of grass arrived.
Today I put down the grass mat on the remaining section and used the drop to re-do some of the turntable extension eliminating some seams…
I implemented Rick’s thumb tack suggestion on the temporary bridge and painted the styrene edge black. After screwing down the approach curve I did some testing. I found that a car sitting at the end of the center track fouls the clearance needed to turn the steam engine. Replacing that track with the jog using straights should fix it.
