Building the Jupiter and 119, very interesting video find

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oM2A2NEaRqg&feature=g-vrec

Building the Jupiter and 119, the replicas of the locomotives at Promontory Utah, from conception to delivery, one of the most interesting videos I’ve seen in a very long time, like watching one pair of great big live steamer models being built, only its the real deal.

Can anyone tell me how I can go about downloading this video or any video for that fact from Youtube so I can watch it on my computer without it stopping every few seconds while it is buffering. Before you tell me that I need a faster laptop, Mine is already running a 2GHz processor and has 1 gig of ram and 64mhz video memory.

So I just need to know what proceedures I need to follow to download the video file.

Thanks

Dan

Dan,
Sometimes the buffering is caused by your internet download speed, sometimes by slowness of the Youtube servers.
As far as I know, Youtube will not let you download the video.
There is software available that will record audio/video streams.
The easiest solution is probably to pause the video until it loads completely. Then view.

Download RealPlayer from www.real.com/New_RealPlayer one of the options with it is it runs in the background and any video that is player on your PC (well most, it won’t do Adobe Flash) when you hover over the video it will ask you if you want to download. I’ve used it for a number of years and it works pretty good.
