How many people leave wooden buildings outside, take them in, or cover them up when do in use? Just curious…
Dan,
I bring my wooden buildings in for the winter.
I evict the usual squatters–spiders and such- and clean them up.
Just trying to extend their life a little.
A Piko plastic water tower stays out year around.
These two I leave out:

Though the second one is looking a little worse for wear…L should bring it in during the winter. The coaling tower I bring in, only because of the wind. It usually blows over.

And the engine house in the background stays out. It’s 3/4" pressure treated plywood, so it should last for a bit…
