What kind of resin do you use for your frogs? I plan on laying my track and turnouts and I like the idea of casting my own frogs.

Richard…two vitriectomy surgeries and a battery of avastin shots in the eye, and I’m back to to 20/20…
Chester, I use mainly MicroMarks CR300 casting resin. Generally I have the frog mold on the bench whenever I’m casting anything , and dump leftover resin in them (its hard to mix a small bit of resin). Yes there is some wear and sometimes heat damage, but they cost pennies to make, last for years, and I remove four screws, pull out the old and put in the new!
Thanks for the info Bart. I too use the Micro Mart casting system so all I need to do is make my mold. Sounds like you use live steam which my railroad will be.
