OSHA crews showed up today and this guy is a real peckerhead.

Still plugging away…

Still working on and getting close to the finish line on this “Operational Quality” “Roundy Round” baggage car. Details can be added later as I need to move onto another project which I should not have shot my mouth on but have a signed contract.

Nice work, son… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

That’s a lot of stretch to get those rivets to form those steps(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Someone on the Facebook G scale buy, sell, trade group is offering up a Amtrak boxcar if any are interested,

Amtrak had box cars?

As per the previous conversation, LGB labeled the 50’ boxcar in Amcrash scheme “material handling car”… So whatever you want to call it, someone is trying to sell it…

Thanks Craig but I’m not really interested myself as I try to strive for accuracy on the 10’ rule. I honesty like the USA Trains 60’ Express Car a bit better personally as the LGB 50’ boxcar would not have been prototypical. Besides the USA car is a better match up for the F-40phr.

Perhaps you should list it in the for sale section of LSC for the person that is selling it on Facebook.

I will say rooster you sure can turn an old used Budwiser can into a work of art. Naw seriously that really is excellent work.

Leaving Chicago on Amtrak Friday I saw 2 EMD Dash 8/9 locos painted amtrak colors, would be cool to see a model, but the Aristo dash 9’s are selling for obscene prices!

The rough in mock up is almost complete…Once finished it will be disassembled and remeasured to make sure its absolutely correct so it can run the 10’ rule going roundy round. Had to make a lot of changes so it will “BLEND IN” with manufactured stuff that I already have. Besides LGB has no interest in this car as they are more focused on their 50’ box car REPAINT. However it does mate up quite well with their Chinese Amfleet cars that everyone hates but are worth more than Gold these days .

Close enough for operational roundy round quality but CLEARLY not enough to strive for SCALE perfection !

I love the 10’ rule outdoors running trains roundy round

Rough in is all but done so this unit will blend and work with the LGB , Aristo , USA and the scratched up stuff I have. Need to take it all back apart for paint (yes paint) this time around…For the scale guys I will call it a 1:26/27 + or - 12/64’s scale or off by 3/16" correct?

Pinned the roof vents on

Oil can with beat up wavy effect …decals and done with the 10’ rule operational quality car that runs roundy round only . One more baggage car to my Amtrash fleet. Show me another Veiwliner baggage car in the large scale community and I will bow down .

Yes I will fix the friction bearing trucks (eventually) to roller bearing along with the added extras that are needed when one strives for excellence. However I do not and the 10’ rule would be believable if I didn’t point that out.

as much, as i hate to admit it…

but in this case, the rivets are what makes the model look better, than just a piece of alu-pipe.
