Well then it’s settled, you don’t want to lie or mislead your visitors into thinking they will see something they wont’t
Turboliner it is, good luck building it, looking forward to that tread
BTW are these cars done yet?

Really Matt??
Yep.
No P30CH in HO. There was a resin shell made for an SDP40F, the other early Amtrak brutish looking loco. But no love for the Pooch. Only way to get one is an Overland brass model. And they are very expensive if you can even find one.
I remember seeing them pull in the typically late Sunset Limited into Los Angeles Union Station back when I was a little railfan. Back then I didn’t know what they were but I knew they looked different from the very common F40.
Oh and if you are looking for a future Amtrak switcher project, I’d go with an SSB-1200. Much classier looking then those hideous new MP15Bs. You could probably start with a USA NW2.
By the time ya hear that thing coming…it’s already past you and gone…

Probably the best place would be between Claymont and Wilmington, DE. It runs between I 295 and the Delaware River for about a 5 mile stretch and there’s even a fly-over before it goes through Wilmington. I’m not sure if the Acela uses the fly over or just the commuter trains. I’ll have to check out the schedule and see when it runs through there.
Don’t forget, those Superliners can go pretty fast when they are allowed to.
The Southwest Chief is the only long distance train in the west allowed to go over 79mph. And trust me you can definitely feel the speed when you’re on this train.
Southwest Chief at 90mph:
go about a minute into this video and see…
it looks and sounds just like that!!
