Rubber rule and trying to keep this in mind instead of building to scale
OSHA note …power tools can do the same damage to your fingers!
Never think for a moment they won’t bite ya!
Like I tell my teenage boy …Never disrespect the TOOL! Even if I happen to be “it” at the time. You know the rules OBEY THEM!
Truly hope you’re OK!!
If anyone out there hasn’t had this happen, I hope they’re on their toes. It’s when you least expect it. BAM!!

Eyup!
looking good, for an amtrack
At least thats not your finger in the picture. But I bet it got your heart pumping real fast.
Very nice underbody detail.
And nice night prototype image.
It got me thinking that you could use the tip of a rectangular LED to simulate the digital car number display (that greenish light next to the door). I’m not exactly sure what size you would need, but eBay and other online sources have multiple sizes and various color shades of rectangular LEDs.
A close font I use to simulate Viewliner digital numbers can be found in the link below (called Electronic Highway Sign on DaFont.com)
Oh and Superliner II Sleepers, Coaches, and Dorms have them too
A font I use to simulate Superliner II digital numbers is called DS-Digital on DaFont.com
I like that idea of the rectangular LED for the number boards. Nice bit of eye popping detail Matt.
Edited to add …
Hope you plan on adding the spot weld pattern shown above Rooster

Actually Chuck it did bite my fingers a bit cause I was being stupid and ignored the rules of respect even though I knew better. That piece is now taped next to my router table on/off switch.

There is a lot of Amtrash out there waiting to be modeled so I would say …Till it’s done!
And what, pray tell, is all that paraphernalia and assorted doo-dads?
On the left are waste tanks, upper right are HVAC pieces, lower right deep and shallow battery boxes.

There’s a first. Any other time he would tell you I don’t know it’s just what I see
