Building a construction site

You have to have a hole. Every construction site has a hole somewhere. It’s OK if it’s in the wrong place. And maybe a pile of uprooted trees off to one side. Some random boards to make something with, like maybe a concrete form one day… A machine stuck hopelessly over its treads in the mud. Ask me how I know this. These only apply in the unlikely circumstance that anybody has ever actually done any work there at all. Which is unlikely.

See my post above.

I like the idea of the unexplained hole.

A hobo jungle making use of the cleared land would be appropriate, too. :stuck_out_tongue:

Larry, all kidding aside, you’ve made a beautiful start. That’s a fine fleet of trucks you’ve got going there. Those presier figures Dennis posted do look fantastic, don’t they.

I use a construction site myself as a location to drop loaded gondolas full of rock fill and other supplies. I like it because it’s a quick and easy source of RR revenue, no structure required, just a few bought pieces of equipment, and I’m all for quick and easy.

All my ‘industrial customers’ have to occupy minimum space, as I only have a small urban backyard, and I must have places to generate revenue and justify my train ops!

I very much admire your plantings around that site! Very much indeed - I hope some of the other guys here will sit up and take a second look. Well done.

See, it is possible to take a construction site seriously.

Well, sometimes. Maybe…

Preiser is the brand , here is a quick link just to show some of whats available , I used to buy mine at Watts Train Shop myself .

Rooster's got a good point- check New Ray. They have a 1/32 dump truck, cement mixer, back hoe, and even a garbage truck.

You need to build a portable outhouse and pile lots odf"protection" around it. We saw one on a site this week that was well-protected from their own equipment!
