or, he's just plain lucky!

The only engines I ever had problems with were the 2 original Big Haulers I have and both of them have BBT drives in them, though only one has been converted to R/C. The Connie and the 2 Annies are all still running great. (fingers X’ed to ward off evil spirits…;)) I did have a gear break on a 0-4-0 but it’s been fixed and hasn’t been run since it’s not converted to R/C either…

I’m about finished with the air pumps. Now I have to figure out how to mount them on the boiler.

Wow, those air pumps look fantastic!

Your good Bruce.

…winking…

I’m finishing the injectors today. Not all the pipes are connected yet.

Great detail Bruce looking good

Very cool. I wouldn’t have thought to try scratch-building something like that, but the way you’ve done it looks very doable!

Were you a miniature pipe-fitter in a previous life?..

I just put an air pump on my Dunkirk. How does the piping work with the pump. I tried looking at a hundred pictures but still not 100% sure. From what I see there are two pipes coming off the pump. One goes to the front of the engine? the other goes to the Air tank. Thats just guessing? I need help.

Shawn, Many years ago, NG&SL Gazette ran a series called “Straight Talk about Bent Pipes”. I’m assuming that you’re talking single air pump on a Dunkirk. Here’s a picture from the article:

Hope that helps…

I thinks someone (Gary ?) put that on a CD and handed a few out in the Alcove at York several years ago. I have it somewhere.

I still have a few if anyone is interested, I’ll bring them with me to the East Coast show, assuming that I get there.

Cool. Of course I still have the one you gave me; it’s a great source of information and many thanks.

I’m also excited to think you’ll be coming to York! Going to show up for the Drag N Brag on Friday?

Shawn, Here’s a picture of the Annie airpump…maybe that will help a bit as well. The one I made is next to it; you can see mine is a tad larger.
