I have been popping in on all you guys build pages… Everyone is doing a awesome Job!.. I will keep posting here as there are so many to keep up on… Really enjoying watching all the progress. Wish I was able to take part this year. This is up in the air yet, but if I get back into the swing of things I may offer a prize for the the challenge this year. It would be some scale lumber like in the past. probably 1/24 which is easiest to cut… Keep up the good work everyone!!
I agree with you Travis, it’s been fun watching everybody’s work. Now that there’s any slight possibility you may be awarding some of that scale lumber you make, I got something extra to shoot for!
See what you have gone and done Travis? Now none of the rest of us have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif). He was really just kidding John (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-sealed.gif). All kidding aside, I do enjoy watching all the builds come together. Lot of great craftsmen here, I just wish I was one of them (https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif). But hey, I learn new tricks every year. Some on my own, but most from you guys.
Yeah, I don’t know about any of that, Dan…this floor alone is worth a prize!
Thanks, John. I thought it turned out well, myself. My dad used this same wood on his den floor and just put a clear varnish on it and it looks great. He didn’t do the diagonal though.
Boy you guys are gonna make this tough this year to vote… Keep up the great work all!!!..
I’ve been watching all the builds with the greatest of interest and the way the various projects are shaping up it will be another year when it’s almost impossible to pick a favorite. The skill level and imagination are too high around here. Geez.
Travis and John, I agree. I think the “challenge” in Mik’s Challenge is the voting. So many great builds, how do you pick just one. The building is much easier.
Every time I think a project is running away with it some one post an update and ruins it. It is really enjoyable watching what people are doing with a 2x4
You guys are all doing a awesome Job!! Gonna be tough this year voting…
I am really enjoying watching these projects develop.
