There is SOOOO much going on with that picture!! If I was to guess I would say the miners hit paydirt and were being rewarded with beer. Not to mention the “Girly” poster the “little girl” is displaying so the higher officials can deliver it to the crew in their wagon. Note the horse bridle’s on those fancy horses and the cut and stacked lumber as well.
I just love those old pics.
Ah the good ol’ days when ads would pop-up at crossings and sidings!
And the trestlework of a mining operation in the background.
Also notice that the one wagon was simply backed over the track to reach the loading dock. Couldn’t happen with today’s 132 lb. per yard rail!
