Now THAT is a sight to see! Shows what you can be done by a dedicated bunch of steam enthusiasts and about $6Million…What a beauty it is, having seen it in the steel - REALLY close-up, hot and steamy.
Wait until the P2 get on the track - a real 2-8-2 back on the track for the first time in almost 80 years.
…and the other brand-new ‘old’ locos like ‘The Unknown Warrior’, and more.
Yup, the UK is THE place to be for revived steam locos as well as new-builds.

It is a superb locomotive to be sure. I first saw it in 2009 (actually touched it!) when it visited my local heritage line. Since then it has made many appearances on special runs to my line during the summer. She is scheduled to visit here on Sundays in July and August.
Can’t wait to see the P2 when it starts regular runs.
For what it is worth Forrest much of the Daily Mail report is widely inaccurate. We all know what lack of true knowledge newspapers usually have regarding railways. particularly steam ones.
The Daily Wail is widely regarded as THE newspaper for those who cannot read.
