that looks like it is not going anywhere

The mortar should be dry enough tomorrow to put the bridge on, get it leveled, and add some mounting bolts. Supposed to be sunny tomorrow, Ill probably be cutting the bridge ties.

Sweet

Placed the bridge today

Kewl! Now the K won’t have to duck to get to the company store…

Nice bridge!!!

That looks really good.

Work progresses on the downhill approach from the upper loop. Had to swing the mainline out a bit, since the previous ‘bridge’ had a curve in it.

and from the other direction

This’ll work to get the spline and bridge together. An 8" piece of 1x8, attached to the end of the bridge. The spline is attached with an angle bracket.

Looks good Bob, but I think that piece of 1x8 is going to be a problem

Er, typo. 2x8, and its PT… should be ok for a while…

I’ve got PT 1x6 that has been outside for over 5 years and most of it is doing fine. Most of it is elevated, some was partially buried.

How is it you have sun today (According to the pictures) But yet I got over 4+ inches of rain today and more flooding Ugh.

I think what Dave was referring too is possible cupping on that chunk of wood?
Looks good …when will it be done?

Before I can get the track to the bridge, I have to get the bridge rail and ties in place. Here’s a 7 foot hunk of bridge ties, ready for final spiking (theyre spiked every 3rd or 4th right now), and staining/protecting. Hoping to get this in place this weekend.
