Bridge Work

No, not dentistry. I’m finally getting around to working on the big trestle/bridge that you first see coming into the back yard.

It’s always been a “temporary, but looks OK for now” bridge. First up will be moving the other arch bridge from where it is now (hidden in the back) to the right side here, so that both of the big bridges are front and center.

First order of business is a seven-foot section of bridge ties.

Once the stain is dry it’ll get a liberal coat of boiled linseed oil.

Pretty sure you snagged those piers at ECLSTS from my memory they were a killer deal to boot. Like the elder American Indians said: Good Trade (white man dollar for piers).
