Large Scale Central

Brick Wall

Browsing around the internet, I found this: Large scale Masonry Walls! The ultraviolet proof foam will not deteroirate with outdoor use! Red Terra-Cotta Brick Wall is weathered in red tones. Each measures 15½" long by 12" wide and 1/8" thick. *Sale price for 3 or more IDENTICAL sheets!

http://www.sceneryexpress.com/prodinfo.asp?number=NH67750 I wrote to them asking about the scale. The reply: “Item # NH67750 is a masonry wall that is ½” thick and is mainly geared toward the larger G-Scale and Dollhouse models.” It’s a bit expensive, but sure looks nice. Anybody tried this?

How’s it seam? Will we have the same issue as with the Perfect Panels?

Interesting. They also have cut stone and random stone -

Scroll to the bottom.$5.95 for sheet of brick. Plastic, and not as nice, I’m sure.
Shingle roof, also stone pattern available.

Hows the foam hold up to criters? Can it take an exploratory claw from a dog or an agressive one from a rat or gopher or something prowling around the garden at night?

Maybe not good longterm for outdoors, but for indoors, Hmmmm…

I have a few "concrete" loading docks made from foam insulation board. They have a couple of coats of latex on them and they hold up pretty good to all the squirrels around. Though they don't chew on them.

I had a pink foam bridge abutment outside for a year or more. And I still have some pink foam bridge piers outside that have been there 4 or 5 years. The tree rats leave 'em alone.

On the other hand, if there was something that smelled interesting inside a building made of foam they would tear right through it.

So, sounds like animals aren’t really interested in, that’s a good thing. I’m wondering, if this foam is a polyurethane foam similar to the foam used in rigid installation panels?
