Brick Pump House

Hey @ctown2 , Remember this thread For those that have carved Sintra a few years back when you were asking about bricks and I printed a little test piece? Well, I finally got around to making a full structure.
It’s based on a municipal pump house but It’s pretty generic.

Gonna have to grab this. I’ve been printing pipe fittings to work with 1/2" pvc. They should go nicely with the building

Dan, looks so realistic. How did you scribe your mortar lines?

Yeah I remember. Now that I have a FDM printer maybe I can build my big brick building I need. Looks really good!

looks great !!! great workmanship

Thanks Cliff! Not Scribed - 3d printed .5mm deep. I brush on a coat of grey craft paint and wiped with a towel. Then light sanded when dry.

How did you do the corners? Just a butt edge?

Dan,
Considering your paint process I personally might have been tempted to sprinkle some play sand on top then wipe. If the results were good then probably heavy clear.
As always excellent 3d printing work.

There is no joint at the corners. See exploded diagram.

Oh I see now it’s all one piece.

Oh, ok. I was thrown by the mention of carved Sintra, but yeah, you did mention it was all printable.

Very nice work!

Printing another brick structure. This one is about twice the size and based on the old fuel shed at NMJ.

Not to get off topic but instead of searching it too deeply. You do mean the NewJersey Midland correct?
If so was the Moodna Viaduct part of that? I see Orange County,Ny … I was a first time visitor about a month ago.

Haha! No Rooster - Northern Maine Junction in Hermon Maine. Was home to the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad. I spent a lot of time railfanning in Maine in the 90’s and my modeling is heavy influenced by that.
