Large Scale Central

Break in Weather :)

Today made the 11th day in a row of rain. By afternoon the sun came out and dried up the line finally. The crew got a chance to take out the Rogers that has been sitting in the shops for the last year. They added a coal bunker to the back and fixed the front springs. It ran great on the line. The crew got the new 2-6-0 Indie out with some flats. The Roger going through the S curves. Ralphs cabin up on the hill.

coming up to the Hainsville Yard.

The new Indie on the Cumberland Gorge. It sure got weathered from all that rain in the last 1.5 weeks.

Coming out of Red Rock .

The old snowplow slowly rotting away behind the engine house (sorry Rooster)

Picking up some log cars from the camp

The guys found a reliable spring coming out of the ledges above camp. They put in a new water tower for the engines and for around camp.

Mr. Russell got some new horses and is doing well these days making his moon shine.

While Ralph was at work mom and her cub got at Ralphs food.

Beautiful. In Massachusetts were experiencing the same Monson conditions. Great for the flowers and gardens, not so good for the trains:( Your layout looks great. I have a question about the ground cover in the first picture. Do you know what the short ground cover with the tiny white flowers is called? …Todd

That looks like Scotch Moss. I have a clump of it in my layout too.

It rained for 11 days and your GRR is still beautiful.
I’m thinkin you got some magic dust, maybe magic beans or a magic wand
Ralph

nice set of pictures, Shawn…

Good show, Shawn…

Lovely pcs Shawn. Your back yard looks pretty now that the snows have gone.

I this part of Englands green and pleasant land we have a drought. Virtually no rain since early March.

Thanks guys. I can never decide what pictures to post LOL

Todd the nmoss is Irish Moss. It does very well on the layout and actually speads all over.

Finally dried out here as well. The wet weather has been great for the plants. Your railroad is even greener that it was when we were there. Looks great!! I got my grass mowed for the first time in 3 weeks last night. Tonight I have to fix the old trailer so I can go for a load of ballast. Might get to run trains some this weekend.

Really nice Shawn.
I wish I had the time and energy to get my track looking as good, or even half as good.
David

It wasn’t supposed to be as hot and humid today as it has been, but so much for that theory. Got a couple bags of screenings and after drying it out on the driveway, spread it out in the yard at Delores.
