I tuned in the Boise State/Oklahoma game at the Fiesta Bowl expecting it to be over after the first three or four minutes into the First Quarter. Man, Oh Man! What a game! I could not pull away from the tube for anything, and I had my O-gauge layout almost done and ready for first run!

When the BSU QB threw that interception with 1:40 left in the 4th quarter that gave Oklahoma the go-ahead touchdown, my heart sunk. I still could not turn off the TV, because I thought they would somehow pull it out. And they did.

Who would have thought a Statue of Liberty play to win the National Championship! And, in overtime, on a point after touchdown.

Yeah, yeah, I know, but they should be. After all, 13-0 is quite a record.

BTW, I’m an Idaho Vandal. They beat us with the same Statue of Liberty play.

If you didn’t see it, you missed one hell of a game!

I absolutely agree that it was one hell of a game. My family is from Oklahoma, so of course rooting for OU. But it may have been one of the best football games I have ever seen. BSU certainly deserved to win and OU deserved to loose. Turned it off twice trying to go to sleep, but had to immediately turn it back on wondering what was going to happen next.

Yeah, Vic, I know, you have USC and UCLA in the City of Roses. But for us up here in the frozen northwest, it is a big deal. Don’t be a spoiler.

Yadda ya mean “we have USC” I’m still PO’ed that those bums from the University of Spoiled Children won ! …at least UCLA cleaned their clocks.
