Y’know…Fred is a REALLY nice guy…but every now and then seems to go off the deep end. It really helps to have met him and talked with him over numerous occasions.

Well, OK. But this is Bob’s sandbox (sorry, living room,) and we’ve all got to do the appropriate thing: “Engage Brain before Opening Mouth” or before hitting the Post key.
Maybe if he’d talked to Bob on numerous occasions it would have helped him not make such a statement?

I see this as proof of the old cliche “You can please some of the people all the time, and you can please all the people some of the time, but you can never please all of the people all the time”. For me it is simply:
Rule No. 1 “Bob’s living room, Bob’s rules”.

Diesel Dude, TOC, Boomer, Rooster and Pete, all fictitous names… wait thats me, yes Pete is nowhere on any offficial record for me, but it has been my nickname since before I was born, and a lot of close friends would not know who you were talking about if you used my given name, so I for one see no problem with nicknames or “handles”. If Bob wants my real name I will give it to him, If I have to use it in forums and Chat, all I ask is everybody yell it when I come into the Bar… err chat room
