Detlef, you need to start reading between the lines. Bob is as likely to move to Wales as I am to England.
Good luck in England Hans, don’t forget to write…
Hans, I hear there are some lovely garden railroads there. Say “hi” to Mr. Brades for me.
A.W.N.U.T.S. I don’t want to move again. I still haven’t seen my teddy bear since the last time I moved.
Yeap!
I don’t know how he does it?
It wouldn’t last if it were me.
He must be a patient man!!!

Let me assure you, it would take more than luck. A lot more than ten horses.
It is possible you might not get in the Country HJ. You are not a citizen of the EU and they seem to be able to arrive here easily. Not sure of former colonial citizens chances however.

Either one of my two passports would work quite well. The question is: “Who in his right mind would leave the sunny Okanagan Valley to reside in England?”

If anyone else would like to consider such a life changing move you do not need a passport to get into New Mexico…although a six gun and a fast horse are pretty useful.
My life changing move happened fifteen years ago and here I stay until it’s time to GO.
Used to be mostly ranch country around here, some Old Cowboys are still hanging on

That’s a question I asked the older couple who ran the local farm-shop here in our village until just before Christmas last year. They came back from the Okanagan - even named their house ‘Kelowna’.
I never got a satisfactory answer, though.
IMO they are both crazy.
tac, heading for Quatsino BC when the bloon goes up.
I’ll stay right here: far too much snow in Canada,
Anyway let us get back to topic - telling Bob what a great guy he is and thanking him for this place.

Just enough snow here in the mountains to provide 5+ months of good skiing.
Yeah, we should thank Bob at least once a month.
