On May 13-16, 2010, I'm hosting a "help Bob get his RR back in order". I'll have a ton of PT lumber and fasteners, tools, etc. Ill also have track and switches, and everything else. What I need are bodies. Ill provide food and drinks from lunch on the 13th to lunch on the 16th. All you have to do is show up, bring your expertise and willingness to work. If we get the RR to its current state (but working) we'll even run some trains.
So Bob , are you getting nervous yet?
Any updates that we need to know?
I was also wondering if you have directions to Wachusetts Beer factory?
See you soon !
Sean
The Wachusett Brewery? Yea, I know where it is. About half an hour from here!
No updates really. I have all the switches we’ll need, now Im working on extras “just in case” anyone comes up with a bad idea or two.
How I so want to be there.
Bob,
I’d bet that your guest workers would gobble up all the extra turnouts you could make between now and then…
Sort of like train show commemorative box cars…(Bob’s Build a RR, 5-2010)
Perhaps you could have a turnout making clinic…You’d have to order parts quick, though. (Mix of rail codes? Build new fixture(s) for a mix of turnout numbers? Perhaps take orders?)
Another possible clinic…“How to run an online model train forum without pulling all your hair out”…
Sincerely,
Joe Satnik
Things are falling into place for next weekend. 10 day weather forecast looks good, maybe some drizzle Saturday late, but weather should be good the rest of the time.
Wood and fasteners are ready, and my tools are sharpened and ready to go.
If you’re coming, bring your favorite loco!
Started to load the truck.
I do forget things, each day I remembered something else.
Bob see you Thursday 9ish.

Best laid plans dept…
This weekend I was going to wash the roof and sides of the camper. Saturday morning it rained, followed by a cool threatening afternoon. I thought I’d get to it today, but when temps hadn’t made it past 44 by almost noon, and very gusty winds, I threw in the towel.
If I can’t get it done tomorrow evening I’ll probably be pulling a dirty camper
Clean or dirty - the Hippy Gypsy hits the road late Thursday morning.
Well, in the “I no longer have a memory” department, I have created a checklist of what to pack. I’m pretty sure it’s around here somewhere…
You don’t need a rake Bob has one!
The list will help me remember what to bring home!

I’m planning on having a webcam set up overlooking some/most of the RR activity, starting tomorrow. You can view it at
http://www.livestream.com/largescalecentral
Right now, its just going to be pointing at various things on my desk.
Should I bring a blue tarp?
HAH! Yea, and Ill have the camera looking at it most of the time.
Darth Tater !!!
Just think Bob, that webcam may catch you dancing around the room!
