BN Russell Snow plow works light snow on #2 Main

Another attempt at you-tube. This time I used a mini tripod instead of a rock.

The fuzziness is actually a very light snow coming down as a F3 still in CB&Q paint and a pair of GP-30’s shove a tired old Russell Plow and drag a GN caboose down the number 2 main rounding the curve through the Narrows.

About the crazy weather;

Southern California transitioned from a “red flag warning” of low relative humidity and dry northeast winds to a cold pacific storm bring showers and light snow. SoCal is getting a very brief break from the peak of fire season with this storm - until there is a solid two inch soaking across the basin of rain, the possibility of a significant wind driven fire remains. Hopefully the two inches comes soon.

John

Rained like heck today while setting up at the Fairplex. Could see the snow level was really low, hope it doesn’t keep you guys in the desert from making it to the SWGRS.

Victor, here in the mountains we only got about an inch or two, just enough for the flatlanders to run off the roads and into each other. I will make every effort to make it to the show.

Okay just one more… Here is the plow leaving the train room for a night run around the yard. Notice how when she hits ice on the rail you can hear it and see the plow move. When this marginal flick ends, the lead truck on the plow has left the rails on the wye.
