Large Scale Central

Bluestone Southern's Town Freeman Spur

Friday evening, some of our usual HO scale operations folks come over to operate on the Bluestone Southern… The game plan for the evening was to run to Freeman Spur, set out cars at industries, pick up cars and return… This was a test of the newly installed line…

Below are some of the pictures taken… Train entering the Freeman Spur Mainline.

The rest of the below pictures were taken during the operation.

Overall, it went well… Will be interesting to see how other folks work it…

What do the half zero guys think of operating stuff they can actually see?

Steve, they enjoy it very much… Both the guys in the pictures have a piece or 2 of large scale stuff that they bring and run… In addition to running the locals and stuff, they have also been my Evansville yardmasters, out along the side of the hill, close to the treeline… Of course, once in a while, you do need to wake them up…

Hey, it’s electrically operated trains with Kadee couplers, same-same, no different from half zero.

Right.

Great pictures! Looks like another great addition to the line. Anxious to give it a try. Thanks for sharing.

Forrest, maybe. But then again, I enjoy working with stuff I can see, and that I can rerail without a magnifying glass. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

It’s all about MODELLING and enjoying the Transportation Industry… hopefully sharing and having great times and friendships with others; no-matter what the scale is.
