Bluestone Southern's Road to Memphis

Ken, I had to get new batteries for the golf cart, the old ones just wouldn’t last long enough to get there… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Knowing the route you have to take to get there, I can believe that…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

I’m “speechless”

Also buying stock in the same wall stones Ken is buying into. It’s a gamble but thinking more expansion will happen!

Calling dibs on the back of the bus!

Updating this topic, Below are the update pics…

Below is a shot with the bridge connecting to Memphis.

View of the Memphis yard from the side of the hill, looking southeasterly…

Basically, all tracks are in for Memphis… The 2 center tracks are the mainline, tracks to the right are the southbound yard tracks, and tracks to the left are the northbound yard tracks… The passenger depot is at the south end, away back in the picture, just before the bridge at the back…

Tracks are in and ballasted… Mainline tracks have concrete ties, Yard tracks have wooden (plastic) ties…

I guess all of this could also be called “visible staging”. That is, if it is one number train going out and a second numbered train coming back. Cool! (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Andy,

Who’s your helper in the first picture?

Mark, That’s Jinx… He’s actually the yard supervisor… He’s a mix, German Shepard and St Bernard…

German Shepard bone structure and St Bernard colors… Weights in at 95 lbs…

Yard supervisor, eh? It seemed to me that Jinx’s real job was to find the shade…and a comfortable place to lie down; but it could just be that he takes after his boss…(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)
