Bluestone Southern

We have managed to get a little bit done… Have the roadbed in for the Bluestone Southern mainline, into Woodlawn Junction/Interchange…

For those that have been here, the “temp loop track” has been removed, that connected the EVWR Branchline with the BS mainline…

The above shot shows the roadbed as it meanders along, into Woodlawn…

The above shot shows the Woodlawn Junction/Interchange trackage and roadbed… Hope to get the track laid this coming weekend… Chance of rain Thursday evening and Friday, so we’ll see…

Wonder how much it would cost to have someone go stuff a “FLOCK” of “Pink Flamingo’s” at “Woodlawn Junction”

THE BS IS OUTTA CONTROL!
I love it

DavidR, actually, I have a couple of Flamingo’s in the garage…

Why does that not surprise me! :)

Andy you were not going to tell everyone about the dancers. They were going to be a surprize for the invation.

lol, Geoff, you ain’t seen the ““TuTu’s”” yet…

OK, as of now, the Track is in and Bluestone Southern’s mainline and EVWR’s Branch line are connected to Woodlawn Junction/Interchange…
Track is also in along Hilltop Subdivision to the Sparta cut…
Am working on getting the bridge worked up, to run across Sparta Cut…

Ric came down for a few hours and helped finish the connections…

Wife is out now, diggin holes for the plants… And, I delivered 4 tractor buckets of topsoil for the plantings…

Pictures to follow later…

OK, here’s pictures of the trackage

Andy,
Looks great.
You sure did get a lot done. Big progress from the pictures 3 days ago.
Ralph

thanks Ralph…

It musta cooled down a bit out there to get that much done in a few days…or you’ve been driving Ric pretty hard…

Ken,

High temp yesterday, was like 75, and no humidity to speak of… Ric had a tight schedule, he came down about 2, and left a little after 4… I started laying the track on Bluestone Southern about 10… By 2:30 pm, there were about 4 pieces of flex track to be bent and fit into the EVWR Branchline, and a couple of pieces of track to be cut and fit into the Bluestone Southern mainline, to have it all connected… Jane was helping place track, then, after Ric showed up, she started working on the plants…

It’s 7:20 am and temp is 54…

Good progress, Andy. Temps around here are about the same…75 and no humidity. Pleasant for a change…

That looks awesome!
It is a beautiful day in PA!!!
Not running today though ,gonna take the boy to Harrisburg for the last minor league game of the season. When I return this evening I fully expect to see all the plantings in!

Andy enough is enough I want to see and know where you got that powered track layer/bender from and the price range wouldn’t hurt either. Really looking great. At this rate you should be running by Sunday night

DavidM… Ric has been my track bender power… Just ask how his right shoulder is…

All the EVWR branchline that was put is, is AML 6 ft flex track, from the point where I had the “temp loop” connected, last year… The Bluestone Southern mainline is all Aristo track…

put out about 2 boxes of AML flex track on the EVWR branchline extension in the past two weeks…
7 - #6 Aristo Switches, a box of aristo 20 curves, and a box of aristo 5 ft straights, 3 - 2 ft aristo straights, and cut up and used a 3 foot straight, plus another 20 ft curve…

Dave M thinks too much and needs to do less thinking and more working!
Dang retired guys!

Damn I got two more pieces together before my nap. What do you want?

Had about an hour, to work last night, so we got the Dry Creeks put into in the Sparta Cut… In the spring, we’ll get some Thyme and put it under the trees and shrubs in cut to cover the bare ground…
