Bluestone Southern Sept work progress

It's a yard.... :) It was a soy bean plantation, before I bought it.... :)
Ya' see it was a plantation! We would like a full history report on the aquired property and how trackage rights for the BS were granted as I'm feelin' that it was the shotgun approach! :)

you working today or is it a wash out?

Geoff,

We are still working on it… Only got a very light shower this morning…
We are trying to finish up ballasting, so it will be ready to run on Tuesday…

About time we see trains run!

I bet it feels great to see a train run over that track for the first time. Your hard work has paid off. By this time next year the plantings will have filled in and it will be beautiful.

Congrats Andy

Thank you, Jon… It’s getting there, slowly but surely…

My goal for this year has been accomplished… Get Hilltop Sudivision with a turnaround, and get Woodlawn Junction/Interchange in…

Actually had 3 engines run today. I had Mark run the test train… Dan and Rita came and helped finish up the ballast this afternoon, and they both ran their steam engines around the layout…

“Fun things you can do in a soybean field.” Looks good Andy, I would say this is the finish of another chapter. The trains are really showing the immense size of all your work.

Ya Rick , it looks like Southern Illinois …in large scale 1/29th …full size !

Beautiful , just a beautiful way to run trains .

Thanks guys… It’s always nice to accomplish another goal on the layout… With the Woodlawn area trackage in, and the return loop up on the Hilltop Subdivison in, that was the the goals for this year…

Always good to see the trains running. Great to see you reached your goal. The size is still hard to envision, but what you’re showing looks great. Beautiful work you two (and helpers )

Ha' ...send me a bill!!!

That’s awesome Andy!
I see your slave DRIVER work at the PLANTATION has paid off and about time as well.
How many times did you trip and fall from excitement!

The last time I tripped and fell, it was a 7.2 on the ““Richter scale””… I have been informed that it must not happen again…

Andy,

Wow! Looks great, cant wait to see it at the next meeting!!

That soybean field is looking great. It sure is nice to have weather you can work in. I finished wiring yesterday and a friend is coming over soon to hook up the gfi. Hopefilly I’ll have my Shay back this weekend and I can go to work on reballasting. Hopefully this winter I’ll get two siding installed along with two bridges and several buildings.
