Large Scale Central

Bluestone Southern Addieville location

We had this past spring extended the tracks around to Addiville. Took advantage of the lack of humidity and got the track worked in for the siding.

Brief History: Addieville has a grain elevator, and a one track siding… The siding will hold a maximum of 7 covered hoppers… There is also a mile long passing siding…

Thank you, Jane/Andy, for the pictures. I probably won’t get to see your wonderful accomplishments, in person, for a long while. Your pictures do keep me up-to-date on your great work…sincerely…THANK YOU>

Looks great Jane. I guess Andy doesn’t post pictures (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-embarassed.gif)

Very nice when do we get to a see a train navigating the new track?

Jon, my freightshed is full… I don’t want to delete, cause it will delete pictures from older posts, So I created an account with Jane’s name, and it’s almost full too… I’ve been trying to only put pictures in her freightshed that are in topics…

Todd, trains navigated on the bridge the last Ops session… The siding is the newest addition, and it wwill be used the last weekend in Sept, during that Ops session…

It looks good Andy. Keep up the good work.

So your saying that you control her account??

The addition looks great and you needed more trackage for your tiny RR!

Work progresses slowly on the Addieville cut… Starting from the bridge, we are working a rock lined roadbed on the right side… The left side will have small rock as a dry creek and walkway…

Looking from the south side, it’s more defined in this picture

The 16 inch by 16 inch concrete pads stacked on the wall at Overlook, is to level and build the town and streets on…

Track will be double tracked almost up to where the small rock in the dry creek ends, then it will go to single track on out to Okawville…

We brought back the heat and Humidity from Mass with us, unfortunately…

Dad

Son, 12 foot long, 23 inches wide…

I have 6 of them on the layout now… Only 2 are full size… I had the other four cut and re-welded so they are 9 inches wide, single track…

I still have 4 more… 2 will be used on the Memphis extension, staying full size, double track…

Hmmmm, I could have the other 2 cut down to single track, and shortened to use on the Y-bridge… Hmmmmm

Very Interesting…

That’s why I asked …ya’ see you have so much stuff you forget what you even have!

You could ease your memory a bit on how much stuff you’ve got by sending me your Amtrak stuff that you don’t use!

Amtrash??? what’s dat??? (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-foot-in-mouth.gif)

Hmmmmm sounds like Andy is falsifying information using another persons name… I see why rooster never listens to his dad.

Things are looking good on the layout. Let me know if you need that hat.

Shawn, my freightshed was full, so I made another one under my wife’s name…

Thanks for the offer of the hat, but I think them pink ones need to stay on the east coast… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-sealed.gif)

Still falsifying information !

If you come up with a plan for them main frame bridges and you want me to whore up one or two of them e-mail me and ship them to the garage. I can do it this winter and give them to you at York. But don’t screw around like your grandson and think I need to drop everything for you like he thinks!

I think Jinx Clarke is going to have a freight shed soon. Maybe Ed will get one before him, naw Jinx is probably on the site, more than Ed.

Mainline and Siding extended thru the Addieville cut… Enough track laid to allow engines to run around their train for the trip back south…

Looking from the south, back to the bridge across to Addieville…

Below is a look from the south at Overlook on the right, and Addieviile cut on the left.
