First day of Ops went well… Had 26 people in attendance, and ran 23 trains… Pictures to follow after we get rested…
A great time was had yesterday running trains! I managed to get trackside for some railfanning throughout the day.

It appears that Ric is the only one who is on the ground. Maybe he just stays there as Official Rerailer.

It was a GREAT weekend of running trains, good weather, fine food ( plenty of chocolate ), friends,and smart remarks. Added was some history on local railroads, street cars, bridges and tunnels
I’m thankful the weather co-operated. That makes for a great fun filled time, with great hosts, and great guests.
Made it two days without breaking anything.
Bring on June.

Yes, Now I feel I have a good feel for what Andy’s place must be like. Huge! Neat to see the Caboosezeebo in relation to the railroad and house too. “diesel and freight Mecca!!” seems pretty right on too. Well done Andy. I’m impressed.
It was a fantastic weekend. Probably the best Ops Session, so far. Aaron your pictures are fantastic! Just to set the record straight, if you guys look close, Bill Payne, was also down on the ground working on track or re-railing. For the amount of track on the ground the problems are few. Everyone gives a couple of hours of maintenance, to get things going in the morning. Andy and Jane work their tails off all year long to allow us to play for a couple of days. A big thanks for a big project and a whole lot of fun.
As time allows, I’m going to try to write a little about “Andy’s Overlook Switching Puzzle”. Its a good one.
I was there on Sat. It was a great time with great people who love to operate trains and have fun. I’m looking forward to the next operation time.

Sunday’s load was 22 people and 20 trains… Was a great time…
Today was a ““railfan”” day, left at 8 am, just got back at 5 pm… Am beat…

Fred, I won’t. I can’t imagine the shear amount of maintenance to keep something that nice, looking and working that nice. In other words, I am too lazy to have a wonderful set up like that.
