Binding process

umm how do you unbind or bind a receiver to another controller

I set up my sons engine but used my controller, now for the life of me i can’t figure out how to bind it to the other controller

figures that i figure out how to run 4 engines at once on 1 - 6 channel controller but i cant figure out how to bind the damn thing to a different controller, lol

The binding process for various brands of 2.4 Ghz R/C differs between brands. Can you please tell us which brand of 2.4 GHz radio you are using?

duh that info might help huh tony

I’m using a Hobby King 6ch tx/rx son is using the 4 channel tx with 6channel rx

HobbyKing 2.4Ghz 6Ch Tx & Rx V2 (Mode 1)(THROTTLE ON RIGHT)
HobbyKing 2.4Ghz 4Ch Tx & Rx V2 (Mode 1)(THROTTLE ON THE RIGHT)

Hobby King 2.4Ghz Receiver 6Ch Version 2

I have 2 rx bound to the 4channel that I’d like to switch to the 6, is it possible to rebind them?
I tried putting the bind plug back in w/the tx off, holding the bind button and turning the tx back on however the light on the rx does not light up nor is blinking like an unbound rx would be doing during the bind process

I am not sure you can actually bind a 4 channel RX to a 6 channel TX.
I have only ever tried using a 6 ch RX with a 6 ch TX.
I assume the systems are both V2 as the old V1 will not work with V2 and vice versa.

Turn the RX off before inserting the binding plug. Then turn the RX back on. Then press and hold the TX button and then turn the TX ON. Don’t forget to remove the binding plug on RX before trying to use.

I don’t think hobby king even makes a 4c rx, even their install videos for the 4 channel TX they show them installing a 6c rx

I think they did make a 4 ch for the V1 system. But, my mistake anyway, I misread what you had written.
You should be able to bind any V2 6 ch RX to any V2 TX following the procedure.
