Big Haulers for sale cheepe....

Thanks to everyone…the 4-6-0s have found good homes.

That’s a great price even for the older ones. I’m sure you will sell them quickly. I don’t need any operational ones, but if you find that any are dead and you want to part with them for less I could use a rusting hulk or two on the RR.

Oh, gee John. I just cleaned up my garage and found I have a few too many of those too.

Could you post pictures? Maybe if you have one that I just like the looks of…

Are any of them Rio Grande Southern, Colorado and Southern or Denver and Rio Grande? If so I might be interested. let me know

Dan

John, pm sent last night.

Dan, I think one of them is Rio Grande…I just found two complete sets also. I’ll post pictures of everything tonight.

Potentially interested if you have one like this. I need a new tender shell (my screws all stripped).

I don’t mean to interrupt a sale but if the only problem is that your tender screw mounts are stripped why don’t you fill them with epoxy and drill them out? Just a thought.

Any of the wood burners like the Denver Rios left I might want one for a bashing project. Road name and paint scheme no issue.

John: I’ll take the Rio Grande one, Let me know how you want payment Paypal or check?

  1. I’m dumb and hadn’t thought of that and 2. I have an Annie drive here waiting for a locomotive

Matt, your locos are on the way. I sent you the shipping information by message.

John: thanks for the photos. If you still have it for sale, I will take the Yellow #177 Rio Grande engine. I believe that Devon wants the other one which is a wood Burner.

Dan S.

I would want the wood burning Rio if Dan doesn’t

Okay men, Old Yeller goes to Dan S. and Devon you got the wood burner. Thanks.

Just let me know how you want to pay (add $5 for paypal, but, really, a check would be better…I can’t stand giving those guys money!).

I think the shipping should be say $20. I just sent two in a big box to Zone 7 for about $33 including $2.60 for insurance.

Does anybody want the sets for Christmas/birthday/etc presents or anything? Make me an offer if you do.

Thanks John,

Message sent.

John,

Just fyi, I have seen similar sets at Star Hobby for $125 - essentially new-old-stock. Not that they are any better condition than yours, though I guess they haven’t been ‘track tested’ !

BUT that’s for similar sets. A while ago someone was looking for the B&O coaches and I got the impression they were in very short supply and “valuable” whatever that means for a 20+ yr old train set. I would try re-advertizing the two sets here and on MLS. (I’ll put a pointer there to this thread.)

P.S. What happened to the Pennsy set photos?

Thanks for the heads-up Pete…considering what you’re saying, I decided to let my ebay seller take a shot at them as he thinks he can get a good price, so I’ll move 'em that way.

Thanks to everyone who bought the 4-6-0s.

I have a few more locos to sell when I have the time.

p.s. I have no idea what happened to the pictures??

“p.s. I have no idea what happened to the pictures??”

You sold them, so they are gone

John: Got the Yellow Rio Grande engine today. Thanks for all the dust, now I don’t have to weather it. Thanks again for selling it.
